Daniele Guerci

I am an Assistant Professor of Physics at William & Mary, starting in August 2026.

My research focuses on strongly correlated quantum matter, with particular emphasis on unconventional superconductivity, topology, fractionalization, crystallization, and low-dimensional moiré materials.

I develop analytical and numerical approaches to study emergent phases of interacting electrons, including large scale exact diagonalization, variational methods, and neural-network quantum states.

Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT, a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Quantum Physics, and a Research Associate at LPS and MPQ, CNRS, France.
